The Seattle Seahawks parted ways with former league MVP Shaun Alexander Tuesday. The writing was on the wall for Alexander when the Seahawks signed running backs Julius Jones and T.J. Duckett in the off season.

Alexander passed his physical Tuesday showing teams that his tank is not empty and he still can make an impact in the league. In a letter Tuesday evening, Alexander assured his fans he will be playing in the NFL in 2008. During the 2007 season he played in 13 games rushing for 716 yards, a massive drop off from the 1,880 yards in 2005 when he was the NFL MVP.
