Jared Allen a Purple People Eater
>> Wednesday, April 23, 2008
Jared Allen was traded late Tuesday to the Minnesota Vikings after a turbulent off season in Kansas City. Allen was unhappy with Kansas City management and clearly stated to them he would not sign a long term deal with the team. The Chiefs franchise player, Allen was by far the best defensive player they had. In return for Allen, the Chiefs will receive the Vikings 1st round pick (17th overall), and two 3rd round picks (73 and 82 overall). They will also trade positions in the 6th round which will give the Vikings a higher pick in this round.
NFL.com reports the deal is a six-year $74 million deal including $34 million in guaranteed money.
